Đurić Meets with Mali’s Minister of Foreign Affairs

Welcoming his interlocutor, Đurić expressed his satisfaction at the opportunity to meet and hold talks in Belgrade, which will in the coming days host an important gathering of the historic core of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Đurić also underlined that 1 September is observed in Serbia as Non-Aligned Day, in remembrance of Belgrade’s historic role in the establishment of the Movement and as a reaffirmation of our country’s commitment to remaining consistent in its policy of peace, cooperation and equality among nations.

The Serbian Foreign Minister emphasized that Serbia and Mali are bound by decades of good relations, noting that Serbia continues the Yugoslav tradition of relations with African countries, with which it seeks to strengthen political, economic, educational and cultural ties.

Đurić thanked the Republic of Mali for its principled support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.

Alongside strengthening political dialogue at all levels, the Serbian Foreign Minister also highlighted the importance of economic cooperation as a means of further advancing the overall relations between the two countries. The two sides also discussed cooperation in the fields of agriculture and education, which is already being successfully implemented through the “World in Serbia” scholarship programme for international students.

Đurić conveyed to his interlocutor his satisfaction that Mali will present its country’s potential, culture and vision at the prestigious international exhibition Expo 2027 in Belgrade.
